About - Monroe Bodden Chief Information Officer

         

      A seasoned business professional and technologist with over twenty-five years experience, Monroe Bodden is the founder and Chief information Officer of MBCIO, a technology services advisory company.  Prior to forming MBCIO, Monroe established himself as expert in applying advanced technology to solve business problems through extensive experience gained advising a wide range of companies and industries.  Monroe began his career as a systems engineer with IBM, developing application solutions for portfolio analysis and trading in the securities industry.  After progressing through the sales ranks, Monroe advanced into a senior role in marketing operations where he developed customer organization analysis programs to assist the IBM sales teams, systems engineers and consultants in solving customer business problems.

 

    As a marketing practitioner, Monroe was an early adopter of Customer Relationship Management as a methodology to improve target marketing and customer retention.  Monroe devised innovative methods of applying CRM processes before packaged CRM technology was popularized.  As a result of his success in this position, Monroe was tapped to lead a new business initiative in which he acquired and then managed a software startup on behalf of IBM.  This venture developed and sold CRM solutions to financial services companies around the world.  Prior to leaving IBM, he served as a Services Executive leading a global field services team in providing  systems management and consulting services for Citigroup, at the time IBM’s largest worldwide commercial banking customer.

 

     After leaving IBM in 1999 Monroe formed RelationOne, a company that specialized in developing E-Business and relationship management solutions.  RelationOne developed solutions for large and small companies in the health-care, transportation, financial services, media and entertainment and travel and leisure industries.  In 2004 Monroe joined a software company in New Jersey where he was in charge of international sales for their data protection product.  The company had no international presence for the data protection and storage management software product and wanted to open up new markets.  During his tenure at the company, Monroe developed sales and distribution channels in Australia , New Zealand , Thailand , Singapore , Israel , Turkey and Hong Kong .

 

    Most recently Monroe has worked as an independent consultant providing information technology management advice to clients in the New York metropolitan area.

 

    Monroe earned a Bachelor of Business Administration at Howard University in Washington DC and earned a Masters of Business Administration at Columbia University in New York.
